Our story

aGus is a company that produces classic design products with Finnishness at its core. The company was founded by Aku Laakso in 2020. All products are made of solid wood and the main material is high-quality Finnish birch. Our goal is to decorate homes with sustainable materials, bypassing changing fashion trends. Woodworking from start to finish is done with high quality and in respect of the values of the forest. The products are diverse and adapt to traditional clean lines, Scandinavianism and modern design.

With passion for woodworking

It all started with Aku’s passion for woodworking. Working with wood seemed meaningful and even the first piece of furniture was made 14 years ago, when he was only 9 years old. From that period of time and from the corner shelf, the little boy’s dreams have moved towards the present, where he can be a part of Finnish design and carpentry.

aGus is located in the middle of a beautiful rural landscape in Koijärvi, Häme region. The production is carried out on the very roots of the products, surrounded by nearby forests. This is where the story of the products begins.
