VAJA Finland

VAJA Finland was born out of passion for quality, timeless and practical products. Interest in the challenges of ceramic materials and an appreciation for Finnish craftsmanship brought us together in our previous positions at the Arabia factory. At the same time, the story of VAJA Finland began; even we didn’t foresee it at the time.

We moved to a small seaside town about 100 km from Helsinki. We were inspired by the idyll of Loviisa, the proximity of forests and the sea and decided to see what would happen if we combined our skills as modeler and designer. We renovated the workspaces in an old woodshed in our yard, where we started designing, developing and manufacturing the first parts of the product family. Slowly, the idea of a brand that would unite our values matured. The cornerstones of our collection are utensils made with great care, Finnish quality and functional design.

From the beginning, it was also clear that our production would remain in Finland, in our own factory, so that we could ensure the high quality of our products and the ethics of the entire production chain. Today we operate in Porvoo where we have a team of ceramics professionals working with us. We at VAJA Finland create beautiful and insightful design that surprises with its functionality and lasts for generations to come.
