Vivero’s story began in the early 1980s when Yrjö Wiherheimo and Simo Heikkilä's Visio chair became a symbol of Vivero's innovative design at the Copenhagen and Milan furniture fairs. Vivero was among the first to incorporate environmental and energy-saving objectives into its product design programme as early as 1980.
At Vivero, we believe that the vast majority of people recognise good design, beautiful form and a well-designed environment and see it as a credit to themselves. This is the kind of environment that people are willing to take better care of. Vivero's products are characterised by exceptional humour, easiness and playfulness, as well as well as by versatile use of materials and original combinations.
Vivero Oy's premises are located in the Arabia district of Helsinki, at the greener end of Hämeentie in the heart of the modern Finnish art industry and opposite Annala summer garden in the hustle and bustle of the old Town's rapids, where Helsinki was originally settled.
