HISTORY OF FINNISH DESIGN

Scandinavian and Finnish design had their golden age from around the 1930s until the 1970s. Designers such as Alvar Aalto, Hans J. Werner, Arne Jacobsen and Borge Mogensen designed and published future or current classics. Many of the products they designed are still in production today and form the basis for many furniture and design companies that are still successful today.
