Punkalive Ruuhi module small

The story of Punkalive started when our family business Punkaharjun Puutaito Oy’s carpenter Tero Tirronen designed a completely new way to further process industrial wood material. The beautiful veneer structure of the wood is achieved using this method. When the technique is combined with Scandinavian design, we achieve a collection of products that’s completely unlike anything on the market today.

Our products are inspired by the surrounding nature, clear waters and rugged forests of Punkaharju in the middle of Finland. Here the Punkalive products are manufactured with respect to the client and nature. We are proud of the products we manufacture and hope that you’ll love them as much as we do.

The material of the Punkalive products is laminated veneer lumber (LVL). LVL is a structurally sound veneer board made out of Finnish spruce. The raw wood material is collected from forests nearby. The wood collection method and manufacturing process are both PEFC certified. PEFC is an international forest certification system that promotes environmentally, socially and economically sustainable forestry everywhere on the planet.
