The leather basket is made in Finland from hand-washed leather paper. Washable paper is so-called vegan leather paper, made from plant-based cellulose and natural rubber. Each chalkboard leather basket is completely unique. The basket is water-resistant and very lightweight. The material softens when soaked in warm water, and the basket can then be easily shaped to your desired shape. When dry, the material hardens to a cardboard-like consistency. The material softens with use the more often you wash it. The basket looks and feels like paper.
