Välkky Lantern

The Välkky lantern is a modern patio lantern that combines beautiful stone and glass and is suitable for use with tealights. It’s is a great little lantern to create atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. A rough stone surface, light grey colour and modern design make it stand out from other lanterns or candle holders. Combine it with candle holders made of other materials to create a balanced and unique ensemble for your home. Please note that Välkky is not a storm lantern, so the flame may go out in strong winds.

Care instructions:

• Before use
  
  • Rinse the dust off the stone surface thoroughly with water. You can also wash the stone in the dishwasher. Allow the product to dry. If you wish, lightly oil the stone with cooking oil. Oiling darkens the surface of the stone, protects it and brings out the colour variations beautifully.
• Use of soapstone product
  
  • The product can be used as it is. It is at its best when heated or cooled. You can heat the stone in an oven or with warm water. Never heat the stone on the stove, other hot surfaces or in the microwave! Keep the stone in the freezer for at least a couple of hours before using it. The stone can be stored in the freezer between uses.
• Treatment of a soapstone product
  
  • You can wash the stone like other dishes, such as in a dishwasher. Allow the stone to dry completely before using it again.
